Get prepared to teach on your faculty, find inspiration for relevant forms of teaching and discuss your teaching with others.
The purpose of the course is to strengthen the participants' pedagogic competences, and to introduce them to the aspects of student-centred teaching. After the course, the participants will have acquired knowledge of educational principles and a didactic basis for reflecting on their own and others ' teaching practice.

The course is designed based on blended learning as a teaching approach, which is why teaching and learning will take place in a digital learning space and in the physical meeting. It is estimated that it will last approx. 12 hours (including one online start meeting, 5 hours workshop and approx. 7 hours of online activities and preparation through structured online learning activities). The course will also contain an ending reflective online session once you are engaged in your teaching activities.
Online learning activities involve reading material, watching videos, answering reflection questions and producing a first draft of a course handbook. The course also involves participating in individual as well as group activities in class and outside class, as well as providing peer feedback. To complete the course and receive a diploma it is compulsory to be active online and complete all activities.
Your learning outcomes depends on active participation through peer feedback and discussions with each other.
The course for student teachers is a basic course which is a mix between on-campus activities, online meetings, and online activities. The courses are faculty specific courses, where the content and structure vary depending on the faculty. The course is directed at student teachers with employment at ARTS, BSS, or HEALTH. Course seats are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
In addition, a full online course is offered in addition to the regular courses with physical workshops. The course will be in English and has four mandatory meetings in Zoom, two of which makes it out for the entire physical meeting day. This course is open to instructors on all faculties who want to work with their teaching abilities. However, there will be changes in the organization of activities, tasks and content to fit the online format of the course.
Course certificates are forwarded after the last course activity of the basis of sufficient participation.

We provide two courses at Faculty of Arts, one course at Faculty of Health, four courses at Aarhus BSS, and an online course.
Except for the online course each faculty specific course consists of an introductory online meeting, an on-campus workshop, and a final online session.
