We aim to support quality teaching at Aarhus University. We do this through a permanent course portfolio for educators at AU at all stages of their academic careers. Our courses are developed through close collaboration with the academic.
The didactic development we do together with the staff at AU aims to develop the academic regulations, objectives, and forms of examination of the degree programmes and at specific initiatives related to the teaching itself, including activities between sessions, supervision, and activating forms of teaching.
An essential component in the didactic development at the university is educational IT in teaching as a solution model for more flexible, engaging, and dynamic teaching. We develop formats for, among other things, blended learning, the use of video in synchronous and asynchronous teaching, online feedback, and much more.
The underlying basis for using educational IT in teaching at Aarhus University is the learning management system, Brightspace, which is affiliated with all courses. Brightspace and other digital tools are tested and integrated into the development work according to the underlying didactic construct.
Some courses are held at fixed times each semester, while others can be requested as needed. If you gather a group of colleagues for a course or workshop, we make sure to tailor the event to your wishes and needs through a dialogue with you.
