The CED researches specifically in university pedagogy but covers the subject broadly. We research the university’s specific teaching methods (e.g., research guidance), subject-specific didactic questions (e.g., within health science didactics), the university educators’ competency development (also called educational development), curriculum development, digitisation and learning technologies, and transitions to and from the university.

Our research takes its starting point in practice and aims at implementation in practice. We prefer to work interdisciplinary with a variety of methodologies and theories. We research in close collaboration with AU’s academic environments based on specific teaching practice or university pedagogical issue. We publish in collaboration with Danish and international research environments, and we want to research university pedagogy at a high international level.
