The course focuses on educational development at the programme level.
The aim is to create a solid research- and practice-informed basis for developing holistic study programmes guided by competence and purpose thinking and with academic clarity, meaningful academic progression and interaction between the programme elements.
Learning outcome
After the course, participants will
- Have knowledge of different concepts that can be used to describe the academic profile of the programmes and create a good interaction and progression between the subject elements
- Be able to analyse and discuss issues directly related to their own programmes
- Have a research- and practice-informed basis for facilitating programme development in their own academic environment
Content
The course day is structured in three parts:
- The first part introduces key concepts for the analysis of the academic profile of the degree programmes and the interaction between subject elements, as well as principles for the organisation of content elements and academic progression.
- The second part provides the opportunity to either continue with general tracks or to work with issues that are of particular importance to the organisation of the programme. e.g. first-year efforts, digital competences, innovation and diversity.
The day ends with discussions of wishes for any follow-up activities, e.g. support for facilitating one's own processes or collegial sparring.
If you prefer the day to be organised specifically for and in your academic environment, you can contact the course coordinator
