Supervision across disciplines: collective academic supervision

Objective

The aim of the course is to enable you to:

  • identify basic elements of collective academic supervision
  • engage in and facilitate feedback processes during collective academic supervision, and
  • navigate in an interdisciplinary group of students and young researchers. 

Learning outcome

You are able to implement collective academic supervision in an interdisciplinary group of students and young researchers.

Content

The course consists of four modules each including a short video (ca. 5-8 minutes) and accompanying learning activities.

How to go to and complete the course

You are welcome to go through and complete the course in your own way and at your own pace.

However, to benefit the most from the course we advise you to pair up with a fellow student or a fellow colleague as the videos and learning activities in the course are designed to support self-paced learning among peers.

The online course takes about 1-2 hours depending on how much and in which ways you wish to engage in the learning activities.

The course does not include an examination. Instead, it is designed as a resource you may visit whenever you need.
