I specialise in research, teaching and supervision in the field of pedagogy and learning among educators and professionals within health professions education. My education includes a master's degree in sports science and adult education (1995) and a PhD in embodied professional identity among high school physical education teachers (2001), both from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. In addition, I have built up extensive expertise in medical didactics, faculty development, collegial sparring and PhD supervision.
I explore, teach and mentor professional educators, primarily in health professions education and higher education. More specifically, I work with practice-based research and development in the intersection between medical didactics, pedagogical competence development among health professionals and university lecturers, professional identity, peer-mentoring and PhD supervision. At present, I am concerned with how teachers and educational leaders develop and negotiate their professional identity in changing educational contexts.
