Enhance your teaching portfolio for applications for academic positions at AU

Objective

The purpose of this workshop is to offer guidance to potential applicants for academic positions on developing a teaching portfolio that effectively highlights their teaching competencies and documents the impacts of their teaching. The portfolio will align with the university's guidelines and the Danish framework for advancing university pedagogy.

Learning outcome

After completing the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Improve portfolio drafts and provide criteria-based feedback on a teaching portfolio following the current guidelines for academic positions.

Content

The workshop will briefly introduce AU's current portfolio policy. Participants will then be able to develop their teaching portfolios for applying to positions at AU.

To prepare for the workshop, you are asked to:

During the workshop, you will:

  • Present your draft teaching portfolio and receive oral feedback from your peers.
  • Provide peer feedback on your colleagues' portfolios.

  • Scope: 2 hours (exclusive preparation). In addition, you should expect to use at least 3 hours of preparation, depending on your previous work on elements in your teaching portfolio
