My research delves into the multifaceted concept of reflection, a critical skill for learners navigating today's dynamic world. Currently, I am attempting to combine Dewey's theory of inquiry with modern conceptions of how we learn (e.g., predictive processing, 4E cognition). My hope is to build a cognitive theory of reflection that can be experimentally tested and used to cultivate a better understanding of how the reflective process can differ across cultures and individuals.
In my professional development work at CED, I am particulary engaged with two projects. I support the strategic development of resources and workshops to cultivate digital competent graduates and university employees. And in the project on widening participation, I focus on inclusive learning on a curriculum level.
