NAT and TECH: Brightspace Course Refresh


The purpose of the workshop is to provide insights into the impact of your course design based on available evidence and experiences. This includes insights from Brightspace or Blackboard; sharing of experiences, tips, and tricks with peers; and planning of any further development of your learning design and the required support.

Learning outcome

The agenda of the workshop is

  • to discuss and share experiences with peers on Educational IT related to your redesigned course
  • to evaluate the impact and sustainability of your learning design based on available evidence and a Learning Design efficiency assessment.
  • to identify technical and educational development opportunities of your learning design


  • Sharing of experiences and inspiration, including best practice as well as challenging experiences with Educational IT
  • Presentation on sustainable teaching with Educational IT, including Brightspace/Blackboard
  • Sharing and discussion of self-assessment and peer-feedback
  • Individual supervision and planning of follow-up and support (as required, on demand)

Prior to the workshop, you are invited to reflect on and self-assess your course design. You will be provided with the data CED has available from Brightspace and Blackboard, any previous design aims (e.g., the Quality Pyramid, AU Course Transformation etc.), and course evaluation. The purpose is to identify areas of improvement and discuss any barriers experienced. The self-assessment is done the week before the workshop, and follow-up support and assistance is booked as desired.

Supplemental info

Despite its name, the workshop is relevant for all Nat and Tech educators that have previously redesigned their course with Educational IT, Blackboard and/or Brightspace and/or participated in the Learning Design workshops at ST/Nat and Tech.

Educators are invited to bring co-educators from the same course and study programme to the workshop.

Educators that have not redesigned their course with Educational IT or participated in the Learning Design workshops are kindly referred to the Brightspace Basic workshops or the Brightspace Support.

  • Scope: 3 hours + preparation + any follow-up guidance or technical support (on request)
  • Format: Online workshop
  • Bring: Reflections on and possibly evidence of the effect of your learning design/redesign.
  • Capacity: Min. 5, max. 12
  • Prerequisites for participation: The workshop is targeted at educators, and it presupposes previous redesign and implementation of educational IT in own teaching, participation in ST/Nat and Tech's Learning Design workshops or participation in the Brightspace Course Designer workshop.
  • Language: The workshop is held in either Danish or English as needed.
